This personal branding board serves as a visual guidance and captures my essence and style.
Inspired by the barrier of language when I was learning English, the concept of bringing visually to life a book about idioms came to be. This small book illustrates the English expressions that I did not quite understand back then, and I imagined them literally. Now that I know their meaning, I wanted to make fun of myself by leaving a proof that I can occasionally look at it. Because there is always room for more, I update the book whenever I learn a new idiom expression. ;)
Pet Me
This illustration initially was done just for fun. For a while, I've had this idea of illustrating people with dog heads, as a way to showcase loyalty and friendship. Finally one day, I made it happen without knowing that about two months later it will make sense. In my first quarter of grad school, one of my professors was completing a book on social media tips, 101 Tips Para Mejorar Tu Presencia en Redes Sociales, and he was looking for artists to illustrate each of the 101 tips. I got selected and giving the topic of Invite your closest friends. The first thing that came to my mind was the dog head illustration, and that's when I decided to name it Pet me.
The book was published in 2017.
